A Bristol food bank is creating neighbourhood champions to help lead efforts to collect more food during the coronavirus crisis.
North Bristol Foodbank says it’s seen a great effort by local neighbourhoods, and wants to encourage those who’ve been co-ordinating efforts where they live to continue.
Foodbank worker, Matt Dobson said: "Just last month in April we've had a 270% increase in food bank use.
"In April 2019 we fed around 500 people but this April we've fed 2,400 people and we are actually seeing it ramping up."
